More than a Conqueror (BLW Contributor)


man-on-mtConqueror! The dictionary meaning of the word ‘conqueror’ is someone who defeats or subdues, as by force of arms; to crush, subjugate, capture, seize, win, gain, acquire, obtain, occupy, overrun, triumph or prevail over, master.

If all this means to conquer, then what does it mean to be ‘more than a conqueror’? Someone once said, “when you are busted and disgusted, down and out, and you still hold on, you are a conqueror. But when your bank account is empty and you still have debts to pay, when your spouse has left you with the kids and no money, when you have lost everything and you still can praise the Lord for His greatness, then you are ‘more than a conqueror.’
