I heard of this first in the movie, Mrs.Doubtfire. The dialogue goes thusly, “Some families have one mummy, some families have one daddy…but if there’s love, dear, those are the ties that bind, and you’ll have a family in your heart forever. All my love to you, poppet; you’re going to be all right.” The ‘family in the heart’ bit stuck in my mind long after to be reminded at a time when it mattered to remember.

A lot of us live in buildings that house (shelter) us and we like to call it a house or home, largely interchangeably. MK.Soni said “a house is made of brick and mortar but home is made by the people who live there.” I paraphrase it to ‘house is made of material and home is made of heart(s).’
