One encouraging word can outshine a thousand critical comments by Black & White Stories (BLW Contributor)

As this is my first ‘personal’ post, I had thought to start this by saying Hi! my name is… and then telling you a bit about why I’m doing this blog. But that’s kind of bland. So here is how I will start this off…

I’ve always liked writing.  I am an avid reader and constantly think up ideas for stories that I think are amazing. My only problem is.. writing them. Sticking to it and actually finishing the story before jumping into the next one. I’m hoping that this blog will help me actually finish the stories I will post and to get some feedback on what people think of my stories.

I have managed to finish a story, part of a series of books that I would love to see published. When I finally do debut a little bit of the story on here, I would absolutely LOVE to hear anything you guys do think, good or bad!

Fantasy is where all the stories I write are set, I love to escape into my own imaginary land to escape the problems of the real world. It is a release for me and something I enjoy immensely!

Now all that has been said, I still feel as though I am a novice writer, and here is where you, my dear readers, come in!

I love reading things others have written! The different styles people have, the different ideas and how they express them. We can all learn a lot from each other and help each other become better writers and that’s what it’s all about!

So please feel free to critique anything I have written (any tips or pointers are appreciated!), to ask me to read something of yours or comment to simply chat about an idea you have. We all need to stick together! As my favourite author, Matthew Reilly, has said, ‘to anyone who knows a writer, never underestimate the power of your encouragement’.
